Fighting against early ageing signs

A cold compress and some eye cream are two techniques which you could look to incorporate into your skincare routine. The worst thing that you can do to your eyes is to rub them, so this is a habit you should aim to get out of.

Dryness

Dry skin is a natural sign of ageing on its own, but it also plays a role in making a lot of the other ones even worse. Moisturiser should become your best friend, and it is the best line of defence in battling an environment which is always trying to dry out your skin. A hydrating mask from time to time can also make all the difference.

Treating yourself as someone you love is nice to think about but much harder to do in practice. Not only are we intrinsically self-critical on a daily basis to try and improve and operate in the world with progression, but we, unfortunately, keep our heads buried in the sand when blindingly life-changing opportunities show themselves. Some people simply prefer failing because it means they are guaranteeing their failure, as opposed to failing because of a hard attempt which can take a while to recover from. For all of these issues though, keeping that loving mentality towards yourself, as if you were a friend who only want the best for yourself, can help you overcome all of the negative self-talk which is easily accumulated.

Of course, our blog is dedicated to being fashionably fit, and that purely means feeling and looking your best. It’s important to know how the external way you act can have a really huge impact on your internal thoughts. People often say ‘fake it until you make it,’ which can absolutely work, and should be the first method of approach if you feel like a change is needed.

However, there’s no reason as to why you should need to ‘fake it’ in the first place. It’s likely that you yourself are completely and totally enough as who you are, even if you don’t feel it. A good way to remember this if you’ve forgotten is to apply yourself with the best self-care implements, something which physically shows that you care, overcoming the mental chatter you may have experienced thus far. Finding people who love you and are able to accept anything you want to do are the people you need in your life. That is simply egotism, and it doesn’t work well. Your friends should always be happy to tell you when they’re worried about you. Telling the truth is always a good starting point.

Over time, your self care schedule can turn even the least confident person into someone with Self respect. Often, that’s all you need.
