West coast cooler FASHIONWEEK 👗👠

So New York have had their fashion week, London are having theirs as we type, but commencing on Thursday October 15th is the one and only Belfast FASHIONWEEK.

Much more exciting; I know!

This time round we are looking at an exciting week of winter trends and styles; what we have to expect is winter brights, graphic prints and my favourite vintage looking tweeds and prints. Also massively featured this season is suede and luxurious velvet, as well as a bit of fluff and fur.

What I love about Belfast FASHIONWEEK is they showcase some of our finest home-grown designers and boutiques and use our very own wonderfully talented hairdressers and makeup artists to look after the models. Featuring a little something for everyone; from picks off the high-street to designers and an exclusive look at menswear.

Designers Steffe McNeilly, Kloth – Orla Eastwood, Marcelo Rodrigues, Lewis Hodges, Lewis Cameron and Jamie Russell will showcase their latest collections on the BFW catwalk, joined by High Street Retailers Remus Uomo, Excel Clothing, DV8, Next, M&S, Sueprdry, and Burton, Blue Inc and Designers at Debenhams from CastleCourt, with an exciting lingerie show courtesy of Boux Avenue.

Always a hotly awaited show with collections which continuously wow, this runway will showcase collections from Grainne Maher, Nor Lisa and Gordon Donaldson, Marky Marc and Nicola McLaughlin, Ariana Clothing, Cocoon Luxury Wear, Deux Cara – as well as boutique collections from a myriad of locally owned, independent boutiques including Blush and Jourdan from the Lisburn Road, Akani, Diamond Dolls, Friendtex @ Dashlin, Spoilt Belle Boutique, The Style Retreat, and Hanger 13.

This show is always the first to sell out- and no wonder, with hot looks from the high street’s biggest and busiest stores including Next, Warehouse, Remus Uomo, Tempest, Boux Avenue, Superdry, M&S, Oasis, George at Asda, DV8 Fashion, as well as Dorothy Perkins, New Look, Designers at Debenhams and Miss Selfridge from CastleCourt, (among others). With fashion that’s fun, affordable and available right now, this is the show for the super shopper among you.

Fashionistas can make their way to the uber-chic Sushi Saturday event, hosted at Belfast’s hottest new venue The Perch. The perfect event for those who cannot make the catwalk shows, the “Director’s Cut” showcases 36 of the best looks from across all shows at Belfast FASHIONWEEK, while guests enjoy West Coast Cooler cocktails and a sushi-filled, Asian afternoon tea.
